PDF files are the industry standard for sharing documents in a standardized and easy way.
There are however certain details that need to be taken into consideration when using PDF files in conjunction with Mobilexpense.
PDFs with embedded media
It is possible to insert Excel, e-mail(.eml) files or even movie components in PDF files, this data will not be processed in any form by Mobilexpense so we advise against using this option
PDF Portfolios
The Acrobat/Acrobat Reader plug-in for web browsers relies on the cross-platform plug-in architecture NPAPI, which had been supported by all major web browsers for over a decade. The following browsers have dropped support for NPAPI, and therefore Acrobat/Acrobat Reader plug-in does not work on these browsers anymore to display the PDF Portofolios.
Mozilla Firefox (v52 and above)
Google Chrome (September 2015 release onwards)
Apple Safari (v12 and above)
Microsoft Edge
Workaround for Acrobat and Adobe Reader Users
A possible workaround for viewing pdf portfolios within a web browser is to right-click on the "Release notes" link and download the pdf portfolio to a PC by selecting the "Save Target As..." option. Then open the pdf portfolio.
The easiest way to avoid this issue is to upload PDFs receipts instead of PDF portfolios.
Password encrypted PDF files
We are unable to process password encrypted PDF files in any form.
